Frequently asked questions Senior Cadets – Ages 14–17

  • What is Senior Cadets Kickboxing?
Senior Cadets is our programme for ages 14–17, providing more challenging kickboxing training as students progress towards adult-level martial arts.
  • Can I start kickboxing at 14, 15, 16 or 17?
Yes. You don't need to have trained since you were young. Complete beginners are welcome and will be taught from the fundamentals upwards.
  • Do I need to be fit before I start?
No. Training is what gets you fitter. Don't put off starting because you think you need to get in shape first.
  • Is it suitable if I'm not interested in competing?
Absolutely. Competition is only one pathway. Many Senior Cadets train because they enjoy martial arts, want to improve their fitness, develop confidence or simply want something productive and challenging to work towards.
  • Can Senior Cadets train with adults?
Some sessions at Endurance combine Senior Cadets aged 14+ with adults, giving older teenagers the opportunity to train in a more mature environment while still receiving appropriate coaching and supervision.
  • Can I eventually join the Fight Team?
Potentially, yes. Students who demonstrate the required ability, attitude, commitment and consistency can progress towards our competition pathway.
